The Seminar, conducted by the Journalism Society, was entitled Learning Beyond Materials: The Technicalities and Art of Feature and Editorial Writing.
The attendees listened and learned from the guest speaker, a College of Arts and Letters’ own Journalism graduate Archieval Mariano.
Mariano taught the basics and technicalities of both Feature and Editorial Writing and also shared some of his experiences in writing.
He also gave tips on how to write better and effective articles and how to cope up with writing on the internet and on social media.
The students were given a chance to ask Mariano their questions regarding the topic after both sessions.
As a closing remark, Michael Santos, the president of Journalism Society, assured that the seminar was just the start of the many activities and workshops that the Journalism Society would conduct.
