Students from different colleges attended the mass and wore black to sympathize for the loss of fellow BulSuans.
“...This is the moment when our university needs us the most,” Fr. Roel Arcega said in the 5pm mass.
Right after the mass, students and teachers lit candles for the departed BulSu 7.
The BulSu 7, namely Mikhail Alcantara, Sean Alejo, Michelle Bonzo, Helena Marcelo, Maiko Bartolome, Mary Magdaline Navarro, and Jeannette Rivera, suffered a tragic death during their tour at Madlum Caves, Brgy. Sibul, San Miguel, Bulacan.
Hanna Fabella, a fellow classmate who was with them in the tour and survived the incident, recounted the story last Wednesday night in a testimony at the Cell Leader’s Conference held at God’s Family Worship Center, Plaridel, Bulacan.
Fabella said that she and her classmates were holding each other’s hands while crossing the Madlum River when the waves hit them and they were carried away by the strong current.
Fabella said.
She also became emotional as she recalled her classmates that did not survive the tragedy.
